I'm really not a fan of hyperbole in writing, but I'd be remiss to say that this CBR edit of Chloe Martini's "Never Forget About Your Roots" isn't one of the most nostalgic instrumentals I've come across in quite some time. The original version, released six months ago by the latter individual, was intended to produce a "sense of wonder and reverance for those glorious moments of innocence that belong to your childhood", and it does exactly that. CBR came along today to add to the innocent sound, though, and his edits, spectacularly starry in nature, enhance greatly the virtuous energy teeming within the original. The main additions other than time include more pronounced percussion, ever-present kicks with the bass, and more of an ethereal feel given the nature of the synths he employs. Thankfully, the piano is kept largely intact in this interpretation, as it's the true centerpiece of the track on both the fresh and aged efforts, and the fact that CBR took the liberty to add to the virginal vibes is something truly to cherish.
