Pennsylvania based producer Zach Brill (Chits) is only 22 years old, but he’s already got a finely tuned sound that feels as mature as just about anything else out there right now. His newest single, set to be released as part of Astro Nautico’s label EP, Custom Hype, is an impressive combination of airy synth textures, and sharp, often abrupt, bouts of percussion. The track was composed sans hook, but the lack of note repetition only adds complexity, and allows Chits to explore a wider array of musical possibilities in a much shorter span of time. “Looking So Good” starts off rather quiet and small, but don’t let that fool you. It’s a funky garage track which focuses more on substance then flash, and it’ll win you over by the time it’s done.
