Childish Gambino has been everywhere recently, especially with the release of his latest album, Because The Internet, but don’t let the over-saturation steer you away from this Akouo remix. It's got all the right elements for a successful revamp, and the sparse production work has a certain mechanical flavor to it that’s refreshingly light, but still dense enough to keep the bass right where it should be. This Tasmania-based producer has worked on some great tracks in the past, including some from Flume and Banks, but the combination of CG’s rock-solid writing skills and Akouo’s sonic creativity has taken this “3005” remix to a whole new level of hard-hitting electronic hip-hop.
