Chet Faker's vocals have been a hot topic of conversation following the release of his chart-topping debut album, Built On Glass, and the body of work has indeed pushed him into the spotlight as one of the hottest artists not only in Australia, but around the globe as well. Today, however, German Max Seethaler (WKND) has done his part to match the quality of Faker's vocals with yet another talented remix of his that's sure to acquire a good bit of attention. Within his work, WKND extracts the vocals from Chet Faker's cover of a Sonia Dada original, and he blankets them with layers of his own electronic style, exciting the original vocals with groovy and funk-infused guitars backed by perpetual maraca spins, booming bass hits, and even the occasional steel drum notes. At times, the busking notes of the original Faker effort step back into the verses and allow WKND's electronic to take a backseat, but overall, the tracks' atmospheres work well together to give a fresh sound.
