Everybody loves them some Chet Faker. The artist has proven time and time again that he's immune to putting out bad works, and, frankly, everything that he's released has been gold. He's been able to accrue a grand following as a result, and, these days, the fans within wait in perpetual anticipation of new work from him. As that's the case, today is a lot of our lucky days. What Chet's shared today is "Killswitch", a track that appears on the Japanese edition of his recent Built on Glass album and is as good as anything that originally appeared on it. The track is sullen and beautifully so, represents Chet's voice and gorgeous melodies well, and might elicit just a few feelings from beginning to end. It's Chet doing Chet, essentially, and it's utterly great. Don't say you're surprised. Built on Glass is available on iTunes.
