Despite the Native American origins of the duo's name, within twenty seconds, or, as soon as the smooth synths meet the snaps/drums, you'll realize that this is French electro-disco as good as it gets. And while Breakbot may be the iconic figure behind the trend, he is by no means alone in producing the fresh, funky, and smooth jams appearing in France; Cherokee is concrete proof of this. Darianna's Feist-like voice is the perfect complement to the paced progression of the synth-funk, but the icing on this groovy cake is the unreal bass guitar that finally gets its chance to shine as it rounds out the end of the track. It's unfortunate that tracks like "Don't Matter" are heard as infrequently as they are...
