With Nosaj Thing's original, the eerie, off-kilter mood was firmly set in place, so for the NZ producer, Kamandi, to come in and take "Paranoia" into an unsimilar sonic territory would've put Chance's methodical cadences in serious jeopardy of sounding right at home. Kamandi could have done that, but we're glad he didn't, because his remix here plays off the spooky tone of the original while still adding some pitch-shifted vocals, hard-hitting drums, and engulfing bass frequencies.
