With summer approaching, we're bracing ourselves for the overwhelming influx of tropical music that will surely be coming our way. Since there are so many new producers and songs constantly appearing within the particular realm of sound, we'll have to be extremely stubborn with our choices, extracting only the best of the best (as we hope you'd expect from us by now), and, lucky for us, we've an effort from the Brazilian producer Cesare to share. Cesare has already dropped a couple of great tunes, including his remix of Suvi's "Bleeding For Your Love", but those have been mostly in the disco-house category. "Too Late" marks Cesare's tropical debut, and it's safe to say that he's started off on a great note, qualifying easily for what we consider to be the "best of the best" in the particular category. From "Too Late's" inception, Cesare implements a slightly slower pace than most offerings within the genre, a fact that sets the song apart right away. This base beat hides beneath a gloss of beachy synths, echoed vocal chops, and fresh percussion, all of which create a bright, hazy vibe throughout. The song maintains that feel for some time, only slightly deviating in structure with the addition of more electronic layers. Rikkie Lie's vocals play an interesting role in the song as well; they never really take front stage, but they mesh subtly into the song, acting as another instrument of sorts. This was a wise move by Cesare, as the echoed vocals prove an essential part of the song's dreamy vibe; and through it, and the host of other elements embedded in the track, we've another piece of summer to extract from the sonic realm.
