There's something spectacular about a soulful female vocalist utilizing a hazy electronic beat, and here, Brighton-based songstress Celeste has provided us with just that. At first listen, many would assume that "What's Your Poison" was sung by a very experienced artist, just because her vocal prowess and smooth style are both so remarkable, but at the humble age of nineteen, this is only Celeste's second release ever, and it's an incredibly strong offering. Tev'n, a UK-based producer, masterminded a shadowy, percussion-heavy beat for Celeste on the track, and though somewhat high-risk, high-reward (not every singer would be able to handle it), she's no problem navigating through the sound. Celeste weaves her way around Tev'n's obscure chimes and bass hits with ease, in fact, and we're really looking forward to seeing her future undertakings as a result.
