Having unique-sounding electronic music is probably one of the most frustrating things for most artists (and fans) to whom the genre applies. Go too far left, and you've something that's barely any appeal, while, at the same time, if you don't experiment enough, you'll end up with something that sounds like everything else out. Cashmere Cat is certainly aware of the struggle, as, ever since he's emerged, he's had copycats abound, so he's had to continually change his sound to keep things sounding fresh. He's been doing a good job of that, too, as, based on what we've heard from his upcoming debut album so far, he's been crushing, we'd say. A few days ago, Cashmere let loose the latest from his album in the MØ & SOPHIE-featuring "9 (After Coachella)", and, although it starts out somewhat normal-sounding, it's when the chorus kicks in that he takes it to completely new heights. We're a bit on the fence with it, admittedly, but it's unique to the point where we can't pass it up, so, find (and listen to it) below, and look for more material from his album to come out soon.
