Sometimes a group will put out a first song and just hope to get a bit lucky with its reception, but the brand-new London-based duo, Cash+David, seem to be ready for greatness; if they keep dropping tracks like "Funn", it surely won't be long until they see some success. They are very different, as they described their own sound on "Singing 'Like A Virgin" as being "in a desert karaoke booth with sleighbells on percussion and M83 on guitars". Although perhaps a bit befuddling of a description at first, this claim is fairly accurate, just keep listening to the effort if you aren't initially buying it. What separates good songs from great songs is emotion, and though almost all songs carry some semblance of it, when a song can provide an emotion that really is indescribable, it is often something very unusual and even more special. "Funn" does just that. Once the hook drops, you will understand how big their single is; it is the type of hook that you could very well hear on every other GoPro advertisement in a few months. Be sure to blast this out to your friends so that you can proudly boast, "I heard it first", and make sure to follow Cash+David on their journey towards greatness.
