Carmody is a singer-songwriter from the UK most known for her frequent collaborations with producer Tom Misch, but with her latest single, “Skin”, she is proving that she can extricate herself from the collaborative identity and stand on her own. The composition of “Skin” blends intricate percussion samples with playful pop tones that support what delicate vocals she puts forth, and we find her harmonizing gorgeously as the track enters its closing act. It is a bright and elegant outing, this one is, and we are certainly excited to hear what else she has ahead on her debut solo EP.
