We posted three of the four tracks appearing on Los Angeles three-piece Cannons' debut EP prior to its release today, but it seems we lost one of them in all the hustling and bustling of getting to different things. That'll happen when different acts and artist are pulling you in every which direction with their enrapturing sounds, but, it's no excuse not to revisit what's been missed, and, what better way to visit a forgotten track than by being graced by its packaged presentation? That package, Up All Night, has been cast out into the world today, and its once-elusive electronic-pop gem, "Temporary Romance", is now firmly in our focus. The track, light, airy, and slightly groovy like some of their former releases, is the kind that'll have you swaying your shoulders side to side—involuntarily becoming one with the funk-flavored, indie-dipped electronic-pop the three have proven to so effectively cast with the aforementioned tracks of theirs. It's got grooving bass and '80s-inspired synths, reverb-coated vocals, and spikes of nostalgia that'll positively pierce your attitude and affection for the band at once, and though the occurrence isn't unlike the ones had from the former efforts, it acts—as really all of the terrific tracks do—as an effective sealing of the excellent and effervescent vibes that the project as a whole sets about releasing. Up All Night certainly has the sort of energy in abundance, and the four tracks comprising it are going to have the masses moving as they wait for whatever wonderful works Cannons next shares.
