After a scintillating debut in "Took Me Up", we were convinced that Sydney talent BUOY was ready to harvest a pretty unique sound, and with second-ever track "Don't Want To See You", the Australian artist has done just that. With her medley of warm, reverb-heavy sounds and alluring, slightly tweaked vocals within, we've another bit of evidence that she's destined for some pretty big things. From its very beginning, "Don't Want To See You", paints an overcast setting with chillwave chords gliding emphatically and vocals swinging in and out in quite a unique way. The track unfolds with unpredictable drum patterns providing wavy assistance to the vocal front, and further droning sonic inclusions and the perfect dose of accelerated hat sequences give off a vibe that's immersive from beginning to end.
