Built To Fade just dropped the first single from their upcoming freshman album, To Dust (set to drop 11.12.13), and we've got to say, it's an impressive initial offering. Then again, with a lineup as deep as Built to Fade's, the refined sound in "Willie Sutton" isn't such a shocker. The band is Kno's (of Cunninlynguists) side project, and it features other talented notables such as Zoë Wick, Dane Ferguson, and Anna Wise (of Sonnymoon), who, as it just so happens, was featured on Kendrick Lamar's latest album. The track's sound takes queues from Kno's older work, but it maintains a unique identity, and is still very much a different animal. Making the jump into bonafide art house hip-hop territory, "Willie Sutton" successfully pulls together old school sounds with an innovative vibe that makes this one a winner from start to finish.
