It's only been a couple of months since this London-based artist started putting out material under her moniker, so it's not totally ridiculous that she hasn't blown up yet, but we're still quite baffled why this amazing singer hasn't received the recognition she so obviously deserves. Her sound is reminiscent of another great one we've been covering since the beginning, Nicole Millar, and her music has the same stripped-down quality that Lorde's does. It's a winning combination, and while only time will tell if BRY is going to blow up, as far as we're concerned, a success story is not nearly out of the question. With "Boy", her second-ever released track, you really get a sense of the maturity in her songwriting, and while it's apparent she's got hers on lock, it's the production work that really manages to grabs your ear. The beat is pretty minimal, sure, and the rest of the synth textures aren't especialy flashy, but they interact with the singing perfectly. Her ability to combine the vocals with the sonic backdrop into one cohesive package really speaks to her skill as an artist, and at such a fresh spot in her career, it's totally resonable to expect a bright future for her.
