Well, it was only a matter of time until this happened. BROCKHAMPTON, the art collective started by Kevin Abstract, has finally come of age, and "FACE", the first single from the group's upcoming Saturation mixtape, is their most mature work to date. Anchored by a silky vocal performance from JOBA, BROCKHAMPTON veterans Dom McLennon, Matt Champion, and Ameer Vann each state their case for love with succinct verses throughout the song. Its accompanying video—one directed adroitly by the aforementioned Abstract—matches the song's quality, too, successfully capturing the energy that bubbles beneath the surface of desire. Somehow, this still feels like early days for BROCKHAMPTON, as the boys are just starting to show the potential of their final form, but they're impressing us greatly, and we know there's even more amazing material in store for us soon.
