It's tough for us to say too much more about Brika at this point. The singer has an amazing team around her at Art House Records where she records and makes the musical magic happen, an amazingly warm voice you want to curl right up to, and massive resulting songs that seem fitting for the radio, cinema, or both. We've been absolutely high on the singer since we first heard her on breakthrough track "Expectations", but continuing to reference this lone track does her a disservice. Literally everything she's released since has been its equal weigh in audio gold, and now with her brand-spanking-new debut album, Voice Memos, out to make a statement, the sky's the limit to where Brika's music will take her next. In collaboration with six-time Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning artist, producer, and composer Julio Reyes Copello, Brika had been working on her album over the course of three years, and constant communication through phone voice memos with the man (you'll hear several small clips of her singing interspersed throughout the album) ultimately gave rise to the title we now see. Truly, it seems that all the exchanged creativity did her over wonderfully, because we're fans of all the new material the album unfolds (that's not something we often say). "Moon", "Tetris", "Overtime", and "Demons" are the four particular favorites of ours you'll see and hear below, and each carry such a distinctly inviting aura that you'll have a hard time yourself picking a favorite from the bunch. That's entirely alright, though, because they'll all always be available for us to revel pleasurably within. How lucky we all are. Purchase Voice Memos on iTunes after you fall in love with its tracks below.
