December is an incredibly hectic month. Between the battle-royale that is any given shopping mall, the tense negotiations over how much time you will actually be spending with your extended family, and the frantic search to find a secret santa present for 'Steve' in Accounts, that truly encapsulates the sentiment of "I barely tolerate you" all for under $10, you hardly have time to scratch yourself, let alone find new beats. Now, what if I told you that you could press play on a tune, groove your ass off, and be done quicker than the time it would take you to gift wrap Steve's "I'm With Stupid" coffee mug with the arrow pointing up? This is where the Honolulu producer, Mr. Carmack, comes in with his raucous remix of Breezy Lovejoy's laid back R&B jam, "P.Y.P.". On this particular edit, Mr. Carmack demonstrates that he is here for a good time, not a long time. Clocking in at only 1 minute, 41 seconds, you may think that this particular window of time would be too small to create a fully realised body of work, but you would be sorely mistaken. Carmack takes Breezy Lovejoy's soulful vocal track and lays it over an absolutely manic electronic re-interpretation of the once-subtle acoustic melody. I guarantee it will be less than thirty seconds before you are bouncing away with a mammoth grin on your face, possessed by this colossal beat.
