Everything about Brave Shores has impressed us. Be it their unreal debut, "Never Come Down, (and its subsequent vibrant artwork), their rather color-packed website, or their premiere video for the aforementioned track, we've found something interesting in just about every visual and sonic component that the group has put out. The original audio of "Never Come Down" boasted cover-to-cover energetic vibes that we'd say were a near-impeccable meshing of electronic and indie-pop notes, so we had high expectations when we learned of a video release, and here we've been graced with all we had hoped for, as the band has joined forces with Canadian sketch comedy group Tony Ho to produce a visual that uses subtle effects to keep our eyes spinning and glued to the screen as the time code advances. In the work, the main character (notably a common face in Tony Ho's shorts), silently mouths his request to replace his hairless top with some more glorious, and Brave Shores handles that inquisition, allowing the colorful notes of their track to be personified as a perpetually hue-changing head of hair for the man. The kaleidoscopic effort of the audio is matched decorously by slow-motion flips of the man’s hair in the sun, and director Jared Sales' efforts here and elsewhere on the video bring the music enjoyably to our eyes.
