If you've never heard of Montreal's Braids, their new single "In Kind" is the perfect kind of song to pull you in. We are of course speaking from our POV here because this is our first taste of Braids. This 6+ min track features a full-course palette of voluminous sounds and takes you on a obstacle course full of differentiating directions. Truthfully we really love how the song starts off but towards the end they kind of lose us. Regardless we feel this track is a must listen. "In Kind" can be found on the band's latest 12" release In Kind // Amends that is due out on June 12th. Braids will follow up later this Summer with the new full-length Flourish // Perish.
