There was once a time when dub and reggae were two staple genres of hillydilly, if you can believe it or not; the rare appearances made nowadays by efforts existing within the genre are not due to our lack appreciation for it, but because of the absent "pop" of the material from that realm of the music world. That's why we're so excited when bands like Bootleg Rascal release new tunes. They're great at melding dub and reggae together with a few of the other core sounds on the site: hip-hop and indie-folk, and their latest track, "Overflow" showcases their skills and diverse sound perfectly through a chill downtempo vibe.
