John Rayne is a techno-evangelist bard from a post-apocalyptic American future, or so this imaginative bio would have you believe. When he's not commanding the stage, the enigmatic leader of Boom Forest goes by another name, John Paul Roney, and, born from the bountiful Baraboo, Wisconsin, music scene (Phox, Foreign Fields), Roney now resides in Nashville where he is cultivating the collaborative art collective that is Boom forest. With one self-released, self-titled LP already under his belt, he's preparing for John Rayne to become the mythic gunslinger of Boom Forest once more, leading with new single “Silver Hair”. With roots firmly embedded in the grounds of experimental-folk that were established with debut LP Silver Hair, Boom Forest continues to explore their considerate introspective thoughts, yet, this time, with a newfound gusto. This energetic drive that propels the single is a welcome addition to their nurtured sound, which will be on display in full with the release of their upcoming album, Post Knight Errant, which will be released November 6.
