Another day, another new artist to jam into your memory. Can't keep up? Don't worry, just let your short-term memory sort it out for you and let great songs like "Up In Smoke", settle in naturally. Bo Keeney is a new artist from London who just dropped his debut Versus EP, a few weeks ago. While Bo has a wide range of production variety behind all his tracks (on Soundcloud), it was the non-EP track, "Up In Smoke" (Spectrasoul Mix), that caught our ear. Shaping around sharp and edgy arpeggiating synth lines, crackling percussion and catchy bass lines, Bo Keeney displays his power-house r&b flavoured vocals on this stand out track. Hearing this guy for the first time, you get the sense that he could shoot out a vocal burst at any minute. We don't quite hear it on "Up In Smoke", but we know it's in there somewhere...
