When Blood Cultures released his debut, "Indian Summer", back in October, it was immediately successful. Reaching the top of Hype Machine's popular charts plus countless blog inclusions, it's safe to say the New Jersey resident probably had more than a few prospective A&Rs hitting him up as a result of all the commotion he inspired. Today, Blood Cultures is back to prove that "Indian Summer" was no fluke with the equally addicting, "Mercury Child". Blood Cultures uses that typical indie-look of dousing the vocals in reverb, giving it that welcomed MGMT feel. It's then met with poignant horn blows, wavy synth pads, and star-gazing melodies. "Mercury Child" is a catchy & hooking piece of music that's going to have Blood Cultures' stock rising very fast. Good luck not falling in love with this track.
