One of our favorite working songwriters, blackbear, continues his jam-packed 2017 following up his recent mansionz side-project with his own, digital druglord. The album opens with a haunting confessional on which bear admits to his vices: alcohol, drugs, and, maybe worst of all, a particular girl. It's the same honesty and skeletal simplicity that endeared us to blackbear in the first place, and it sets the stage for a personal account of the trials and tribulations faced by a twenty-something pop star in Los Angeles.
