dirty laundry

It’s been about four months since we had a taste of blackbear’s upcoming album, deadroses, through “idfc”, and now, after the project’s release just two days ago, we’ve been treated to supplementary tracks that ride a similar sonic sensation. What’s immediately prominent on blackbear's album is the use of nonchalant, lowercased track titles, but we’d strongly advise against any preconceived notions for the body of work, because it's one that exudes a very well-kept R&B-electronic flavor. Throughout it, we see the likes of Oakland emcee G-Eazy and San Franciscan vocalist Devon Baldwin providing lavish artistic assistance (they appear on tracks “90210”, and “waste away”, respectively), and other eye and ear-catching moments for us include the immersive piece “ain’t love” and the bass-embellished “dirty laundry”, as they, too, restate blackbear’s piercingly emotional aesthetic. To get a sense of the album's style, visit what we believe to be the best cuts from it below. If you like it enough to want to own it forever, go to iTunes and lock it up.
