About one month ago, Brighton-based four-piece Black Honey dropped off a brilliant track in "Madonna", and when they did, they also mentioned that an accompanying song would follow soon afterward. Well, they've now fulfilled their promise and returned with a fantastic new piece in "Spinning Wheel"—another reason for us to declare the declare the group as one of our favorite ones at the moment. Black Honey's song eases you in with a hazy, minute-long intro that contains no more than guitar plucks and nostalgic female vocals, and just as you begin to daydream a bit, they all snap into action with an energizing scream and a roaring wave of vintage rock. This one has a bit of an old-school surf-ish feel that we're really digging, and we hope to hear more of this style from them in the future as they continue excavating their creative sound.
