Summer may come to its official close today, but the music from it will continue to flow, as we see here with Black Honey’s latest, “Hello Today.” Of the music we’ve heard this summer, indie-rock has been around unmistakably, and with Black Honey being one of the most prominent acts we’ve heard of the type, it’s no surprise their new single dazzles in that regard. Running guitar and percussion behind the included vocals capture the essentials of a Black Honey track, and, when composited together, the sun-soaked sound that's emitted reminds us just how talented a rock band they really are. We're of course hoping that they can duplicate the sonic success of this one with subsequent efforts, but believe we'll be playing this one to death until we figure that out.
