We often see hip-hop artists make the mistake of incorporating too much production in their tracks, and this usually results in an incoherent, disjointed affair. Boston's Black EL is a different story, however. With his hard-hitting new single, "Dolla$ In My...", the rapper showcases some incredible verses with the help of SXMPLELIFE and Mike Device's minimal, heavily bass-tinged work. We've featured the first act a couple months ago for a similarly simplistic approach on "Take It Slow" and "Silver Surfer", and while he hasn't taken any big steps in terms of evolving his sound, we enjoy the fluid, old-school vibe he puts out. With consistent releases of quality material, he's definitely on the verge of a breakout, and "Dolla$ In My" is the perfect reason to indulge yourself in his sound.
