We've seen more top-notch producers pop up this year than ever before, and although the year is starting to wind down, the new producers keep on flooding us with fantastic material. This time, we've an entirely new act from the mind of NY-based producer, Stan Rapoport—an ex-member of HD-acclaimed group, Prinze George. The solo project of Rapoport's is called Black Coast, and he hits the ground running with his phenomenal debut single, "TRNDSTTR". If you enjoy Prinze George's music, then you'll undoubtedly be head-over-heels for this similarly excellent, yet differently styled track. Stan makes good use of some heavier, trap-oriented percussion, but he complements it with an array of smooth soundscapes, airy synths, and dreamy guitar plucks. The outcome is an ideal electro-pop instrumental, and when glossed over with M. Maggie's effortless croon, "TRNDSTTR" is definitely one of the strongest debut efforts we've heard within the genre this year. Lovers of any big-name electro-pop groups such as BROODS and ASTR will certainly dig the debut effort from Black Coast. We absolutely loved Rapoport's work with Prinze George, and now that he's granted himself full creative authority in Black Coast, we're excited to see what he'll do with it next.
