With each new release, Billie Eilish continues to strengthen the argument that she could currently be pop's most quickly rising artist. In the past month, she has released three excellent tracks from her forthcoming debut EP, dont smile at me, each one being just as strong as the last, and, now, she's just dropped a fourth titled "my boy", which, extremely unsurprisingly, is brilliant once again. Off her project, Billie has demonstrated a softer sound ("idontwannabeyouanymore") and heavier one ("COPYCAT"), and, now, she's meshing the two together here. "My boy" begins with a smooth, jazzy introduction, but, once its first chorus hits, we hear the grittier side of her sound that we've grown to adore.
