If you haven't already noticed, our fondness for London's Billie Black is quite stark, and with her third EP, The Simple Pleasure, out today, the aforementioned notion is only more pronounced. Having made her three-month old sophomore EP, Teach Me, available to stream just a few days ago, she's quickly graced her fans with another pristine, five-piece body of work. Having the likes of Mura Masa, Sam Gellaitry, and salute on the production wing far from hurts, but Billie is the fulcrum of it all, providing a more contrasting, ebullient side in comparison to her earlier work. The EP-titled track, "Fool For The Feeling,"and "Floating", particularly, illustrate the claim above, and she hops through the mellow instrumentals in a downright exuberant manner on them to create a pretty exhilarating tone. The Simple Pleasure as a whole is one that clarifies Billie Black's ability to diversify her style with ease, and there's no question that the project will slide into a number of R&B playlists that are out.
