Billie Black, one of London's most underappreciated soul-pop singers, has been absolutely killing it with her tunes for the better part of the past year. We've featured her several times on the site before because we love her lots, and, always, she's come to work on her tracks with a dazzling tone and fitting instrumental to boot. She's been lights-out, in other words. Today, Billie's returned with another track from her new EP, and, as one might guess, it's another special effort from the artist. The production is pretty sparse and almost a little bit eerie on the track, but that just lets Billie's cool and very controlled cadence shine. "Music Box" is one of those songs that'd be at home in the back of a crowded pub late at night, but it deserves a sizable audience, too, because it's all the ingredients of an excellent soul-infused tune.
