Billie Black — Black & White

Billie Black

Black & White

Billie Black, a singer-songwriter from London, England, only released her first track publicly four months ago, but already she's a debut EP to share that features the aforementioned "I Waited For You", "I Don't Need Another Lover" and two new efforts in "Black and White" and "Do You Really". The 19-year-old artist may not be buzzing as much as the likes of Jessie Ware, Shura, and all her other English counterparts now, but she's well on her way to being talked about in the same light, because as this four-track body of work indicates, there's not a single bad track offered. Billie's sound is itself rooted in downtempo R&B—a kind of musical space we've seen often this year—but don't assume it's going to sound tired as a result. In fact, her EP is one ripe with emotion thanks to her silky smooth vocals, and it emanates romantically laced but also up-to-date production, too, that's sure to keep it entertaining as it needs to be. As a packaged debut, 000 100 is one that's going to usher in success for the up-and-comer, and with what increased artistic resources she's set upon receiving, we're expecting Billie to keep providing us with her lovely sound as she continues to progress. 000 100 is available on iTunes, and you can stream every track beforehand below.
