Big Wild — Ayahuasca At Night

Big Wild

Ayahuasca At Night

When's the last time you heard a track that actually represented accurately the name of it? There's been a superabundance of vaguely titled efforts littering the sphere of sound lately, and it's always a little awkward, at least for me, to observe incongruence between particular musical works and their respective appellations. There's no such disconnect between Big Wild's "Ayahuasca At Night" and what tense and arboreous acoustics come from it, though. The debut DIE HIGH drop from the Boston producer is a thick banger, and the percussion that is so prominent within elicits imagery of a kind of crepuscular tribal jam session that probably hasn't ever happened, but ought to. The sound works in perfect unison with the title, which references a woody, South American vine with bark known for its hallucinogenic effects, and with a mere glance into the track and accompany video (below), you'll be engulfed in what intriguingly tripping soundscape and visuals Big Wild has managed to offer.
