RÉN [track id="00948516" artist="RÉN" title="Time"] With only one song to go on, we've no idea what the plans are for RÉN going forward, but based on the irresistible charm of her debut track, "Time", we sure hope she's going to stick around. If we can get more tracks like the particular one from the artist, we're going to be in for some great indie-pop in the future. Jr. [track id="00948489" artist="Jr." title="Okinawa"][track id="00948490" artist="Jr." title="The Girls"] Los Angeles indie-pop band Jr. is heading toward a promising career. With two tracks in "Okinawa" and "The Girls" that we highlighted just a few weeks ago, they displayed an immediately attractive indie-pop sound—one we're sure has caught the attention of A&R's worldwide. Definitely don't expect the trio to be just another internet buzz-band destined to fall by the wayside—they're legit and here to stay. Alma Este [track id="00948557" artist="Alma Elste" title="Heart Melter"] Although Alma's technically not new (she appeared last year with one track, "Virtualism" [it's since been removed]), we can now safely say she's here for good, because as her latest "Heart Melter" showed, she's a pop singer-songwriter that's ready to rise above the rest of her contemporaries. Raye [track id="00948589" artist="Raye" title="Bad Faith"][track id="00948587" artist="Raye" title="W2TW"] We had the pleasure of premiering Raye's debut EP recently, and since we did, the body of work has grown more and more on us. A problem with digesting music these days is listening to it once and forgetting about it, but when it comes to Raye's irresistible brand of R&B, one is forced to listen to it incessantly. Do yourself a favor, therefore, and get familiar with her and her work; she's only sixteen, and she's only going to get better from here on out. Banff [track id="00948611" artist="Banff" title="Stand In Line"] Banff, a singer-songwriter from Brisbane, released his debut track just last week, and as far tracks of the type go, it's one that makes you take immediate notice. Already a member of another band as the lead vocalist, Banff may need to head out on the solo route, because if he's more beautiful tracks like "Stand In Line" to share with the world, we've no doubts he'll head to incredible musical heights.
