Eryn Allen Kane [track id="00949769" artist="Eryn Allen Kane" title="Have Mercy"] It should be no surprise at all that Eryn Allen Kane, an unbelievably talented new artist from Chicago, is picking up steam; not only is her voice incredible, but her work alongside Chance The Rapper, Prince, and others indicates that she's already hit the high rungs of the industry, and she's only destined to climb from here. - written by Chad Hillard. Ana Zimmer [track id="00949992" artist="Ana Zimmer" title="Young and Brave"] We just heard Ana Zimmer's music for the first time last night, but based on the pop brilliance of her latest track, "Young and Brave", the Paris-based chanteuse clearly has big things ahead of her. With a deal with Universal Music Publishing under her belt, too, it's clear that we're not the only ones who've heard her talents. Expect big things from the singer ahead. -written by Chad Hillard. BΛREN ΛBEL [track id="00949868" artist="BΛREN ΛBEL" title="Stay"][track id="00949901" artist="BΛREN ΛBEL" title=""] BΛREN ΛBEL is one of our most exciting discoveries of 2015. We'd be shocked if a voice as exceptional as his own hasn't gotten attention from labels yet, and even though he has only two tracks to show so far, there's no doubt in our minds that once this Chicago-located singer begins releasing more material with added artistic weapons behind him, he'll become a serious force. -written by Chad Hillard. M.I.L.K [track id="00949960" artist="M.I.L.K." title="If We Want To"] Perhaps the most relaxing song of this past month was supplied by M.I.L.K., a new group based in Copenhagen and fronted by Emil Wilk. Their debut single, “If We Want To”, is essentially the equivalent of a sonic beach, complete with soothing synths, refreshing percussion, and an overall sound that makes you wish that the musical vacation would never end. We don’t know when M.I.L.K. will be following up their debut, but we really hope that we won’t have to wait too long to hear more of their divinely mellow tunes. - written by Cole Ryan. Elohim [track id="00949920" artist="Elohim" title="She Talks Too Much"] One of the most exciting works of synth-pop we heard this month came from a total newcomer: Elohim. She’s a Los Angeles-based artist that’s already making a huge splash in the music world with her debut single, “She Talks Too Much”, a blissfully catchy effort that’s been getting heavy rotation among us at HD. Her AA-side single, which features another new track, “Xanax”, will be released July 9 via B3SCI, so get excited to hear more material from her in the coming months. - written by Cole Ryan. Yuma X [track id="00949841" artist="Yuma X" title="Swimming Pool"] This past month, a brand-new, Sydney-based girl-boy duo called "Yuma X" arrived on the scene with a tranquil, addictive cover of Ghoul’s “Swimming Pool”, and the song’s reception has been outstanding. They use the track to demonstrate the fact that a simple, uncluttered sound is oftentimes the best musical route to take, and with just the one offering so far, they’ve already gained some very substantial buzz. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the pair carve out a really nice niche for themselves similar to the way Oh Wonder did, so be sure to keep on the lookout for their all of their next moves. - written by Cole Ryan. Desta French [track id="00949946" artist="Desta French" title="Take You For Dead"] With a debut like "Take You For Dead" expecting a long and lengthy career from London newcomer Desta French is a call that anyone with a pair of ears could make. She has a sexy-meets-pop sound, and that's not an easy combination to nail, but Desta is from a different breed. Word on the street is that she has some big collaborations coming, so stay tuned. - written by Chad Hillard. Kita Alexander [track id="00949929" artist="Kita Alexander" title="My Own Way"] Surfer girls are babes, but ones that sing and look as good as Kita Alexander are pretty much a complete package. The Byron Bay resident won us over with her first track, "My Own Way", just a week ago, and we had with it the kind of pop prowess that rises far and above the standard fair. Kita is definitely not a flash-in-the-pan artist, and we've no doubts that she has several big things ahead. - written by Chad Hillard. Emmi [track id="00949935" artist="Emmi" title="My Kinda Swag"] If you're looking for a new name to impress your other music lovers with, then Emmi is your best bet. Not only will everybody think that you have impeccable taste when it comes to music, but you'll get to enjoy some truly infectious, soul-infused pop in the process. Emmi's music is the type that still caters to those who won't compromise on quality, and if she keeps her ways up, then her star is definitely set to rises for a while. - written by Chris Danks.
