Within the endless current of new music, it’s difficult for anyone to keep up with all that’s coming out. To combat this ongoing influx of sound, we publish our “Best New Artists of the Month” articles in the hopes that you never miss out on the outstanding new artists emerging in recent times. Maggie Rogers Maggie Rogers has seen her career explode in 2016 to levels you rarely see for independent artists. Back in March, Pharrell shared a video of a listening session he attended where he was critiquing songs from music students at NYU. Maggie was, of course, one of them, and her track had him almost coming to tears, while calling it "singular". Now, with the song out, it's racked up millions of plays across streaming platforms (it's basically gone viral), and we can expect many more magical tracks from Maggie to be in store. Khalid Khalid is an up-and-comer that caught major buzz in June. People will likely point to "Location", one of his newer songs that was shared in one of Kylie Jenner's Snapchat stories, as what currently defines him, but, if you ask us, it's his latest one, "Let's Go", that's really putting the 18-year-old on the map. Either way, both efforts are phenomenal, and you'd do well to get familiar with him now. Skott Skott, a new singer-songwriter from Scandinavia, released her debut song, "Porcelain", just a few weeks back, and, already, it's having us expecting big things. Those things may not happen overnight, but there's no doubt she's the complete package, and whatever she has to come, we have a good feeling it's going to special on the back of a track like this. NEIKED NEIKED is a Swedish producer who's been releasing material for just over seven months. With his third track, "Sexual" (the vocalist on it wishes to remain unknown), he has his breakout, and, truthfully, it could rightfully be called one of the best pop songs of the year. As it stands right now, the song is still gaining momentum, and we can't imagine it's going to stop anytime soon. Get familiar with NEIKED now.
