Beshken's electronic is on a level of its own, and, in it, there's an immaculate balance of expression and originality lining his instrumental-focused style. Today, with his sophomore EP out, we're experiencing further the entirety of those sentiments, and we're big fans of that, for sure. The EP's title is quite explanatory, as Ben Shirken (Beshken) had been through a series of mishaps (losing over five years' worth of music from his laptop) prior to the recording of the tracks. This, in turn, led him to travel (and the birth of the EP), and the project revolves around the long-distance relationship he was in and the places that inspired him to mature and refine his sound overall. From the body of work, we've picked out three favorites, which we have featured below. To us, they do a tremendous job highlighting Ben's sparkling, alluringly unpredictable (and original) sound.
