As Kygo continues to evolve as an artist, it's becoming increasingly clear that this guy is in it for the long haul. His first remixes were a breath of fresh air, but already, he's taken that early sound and added in all sorts of new influences and textures to alter his formulatic compositions. The internet has created a very cutthroat environment for rising stars such as Kygo, and the competition for listeners' ears is tougher than ever, but in a world where only the most innovative survive, he's firmly established himself as a producer who's got the talent to stay on top. His last remix of M83's "Wait" shocked everybody with its subtlety and scope, but this newest Benjamin Francis Leftwich rework kicks up the finesse to even higher levels, defining his sound moreso. Kygo was one of the first artists to put tropical house into an easily accessible package, but already it looks like he's moving further into uncharted territories with a more organic tone to his sonic figuring, and the musical flexibility that occurs as a result compliment the strengths of the originals he continues to touch. So, in other words, this is going to be another huge release for the 22-year-old, and another step forward towards what's probably going to be a very successful musical career.
