Since many artists nowadays elect to be mysterious, we don't often know whether we're listening to an accomplished musician or a talented but inexperienced act. However, with Ben Talmi, one look at his musical background completely reveals his prowess across the board. The Brooklyn-located 25-year-old has already been involved with several big-name musical acts, and as of late, he's expanded his talents into film and television scores. As you can see, Talmi is no novice to the music world, and his new single, "I Know It's True", is a brilliant display of this fact. He's managed to create a sound that emits a heavy indie-folk vibe, but plenty of synths and nuances add an electronic twist on the track. Convention certainly was not a goal of Ben's here, because the track evolves from acoustic guitar strums and optimistic keys to retro-sounding electronic—each vibe of which we absolute love. To put things simply, we're blown away by Talmi's work here, and he's gotten us very excited for his upcoming debut EP, My Art of Almost. Be on the lookout for that.
