There's no doubt that Ben Khan is high up on everyone's list of artists to watch out for (he was number 14 on our own list ranking the kind one year ago). So far, everything that he's touched has been absolutely brilliant, and his debut EP, 1992, was one of our favorite projects throughout the entirety of last year. As we tunnel into a new age of music, now, Khan is one of the most likely to successfully blend electronic, experimental, soul, and pop is a timeless manner, and today, he takes another step towards establishing himself as one of the best artists out as a whole with his distinctive, second-ever EP, 1000. Two great singles have already been released from the EP in "1000" and "Zenith", and we're now being blessed with two more exceptional tracks, "Red" and "2022 Zodiac". The first new piece is a smoothly flowing, synth-heavy effort that has us dumbfounded by its musical complexity, and the second new track is a much darker piece capable of sending chills down anyone's spine. What makes Khan's music so remarkable is the fact that he consistently produces some of the most brilliant experimental tunes and then is able to cement together his own talented voice on top of them, and here with these new tracks, he works his magic again.
