We don't believe we'll ever grow tired of peaceful, acoustic-sounding tunes, and here we have an effort of the sort from Melbourne's Ben Abraham. His featured song, "Speak", was actually released a few months ago, so we apologize for letting it fly past our radar, but now that we've caught wind of the incredibly pleasant piece, we can't bare to keep it from your ears. "Speak" begins slowly and softly, with no more than guitar plucks and Ben's own vocals on the stage. However, we soon learn that he contributes more layers as the song progresses, and in doing so, he creates a blissful, eclectic blend of piano keys, percussion, mandolin, violin, cello, synths, and bass. On the song's latter end, Ben really belts out in a heartfelt, captivating tone that adds just enough to sum up his work as a genuinely great offering. If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you can download "Speak" off his debut album, Sirens, on iTunes.
