A lot of hip hop is about strippers, guns, money, these days. The gangster fantasy overload can be a bit much at times so it's nice when more universal themes are touched on every once in a while. The universality of "YES I Am" is epitomized in the fact that the beat samples 2 children arguing - and it's an argument we've all had, overly frequently and on pretty much the same intellectual level as these toddlers. "Bass Loud", on the other hand, is a well polished bonafied hip-hop club party banger. Surprisingly, it features a loud, deep bass line that resonates within your chest cavity.
