Beech is yet another Australian-based act that seems to have found an untouched sound, and have simultaneously managed to discharge some familiar vibes on their first ever effort entitled “Fetch”. As it stands now, we have absolutely no information about the act, but we’re guessing there’s more than one prodigy behind the absorbing production and winsome vocals of their inaugural piece. “Fetch” commences with a rather dark undertone, which is evident in the stirring chords and gentle, soothing drums that are employed, but as soon as the droning vocals kick in, the under-lit backdrop sees a hint of luster. The vocals are certainly the centerpiece of the track, but they still let several subtle instrumentations and percussion exercise freely, adding a lot more character, and giving a rather unfamiliar piquancy to the overall sound. The track certainly precipitates a James Blake-esque energy due to the vocals within, but the whole piece itself possesses a truly distinct persona, so make sure you take your time with this one, because it's not something you're going to hear every day.
