It seems there's an abundance of fresh-sounding R&B out today, and, to further bolster the claim, we've a really nice kind we've come across in debut EP Breadcrumbs by a singer that's making it quite tough to search his name. The three-track body of work features the likes of Nick Leon and Telescope Thieves on the production front, and the ethereality on each of their cuts is certainly worth paying attention to by itself. The Leon-produced "Codependent" and "Bulletproof" both possess a bass-infused setting throughout, and, of course, they're manipulated flawlessly here by Bear's subtle timbre that's able to add grooves to the works. The Telescope Thieves (among others)-assisted piece, "Relationships", is, too, able to round off the project brilliantly, as a more chord-led, sample-heavy footing sees Bear deliver more poignant verses overall. Breadcrumbs is crafted rather meticulously, to say the least, and we do advise you sink your ears into each piece on it if electronic and R&B are what you crave.
