If you're a fan of electronic music or dubstep, then Bassnectar needs absolutely no introduction. Even if you're not a fan there's a good chance you've heard some of his banging sound before, whether in full or as a sample. Vava Voom is his 9th studio album - an amazing feat in a genre filled with flash-in-the-pan artists - and there's something for everyone to enjoy. Bassnectar reaches back to his roots as a thrasher with "Pennywise Tribute", while keeping the "womp" dubstep factor thoroughly cranked with songs like "Enigma," "Butterfly" and "Nothing Has Been Broken." If you wait patiently every year for the next Bassnectar album, wait no longer. If you've never gotten into his stuff before, give it a try. If you like what you hear, DEFINITELY see him in concert - a Bassnectar concert is unlike anything else, I promise. I still remember the bass pounding the breath right out of my lungs.
