When artists who want to work together do, good music often results. It seems obvious, but enthusiasm is rarer than you think, and, more often than not, artists are paired together based on what sounds they may produce, and not necessarily because of what energy or chemistry they may have. Suffice it to say that emerging Australian producer Basenji had all the excitement in the world working with fellow countryman Oscar Key Sung (he notes in the SoundCloud description of the track that he's wanted to work with Oscar for some time). "About You" is the track the two of them helped sculpt, and, at least for the producer, it's a bit of a different style he has employed. Originally used to spastic but somehow controlled electronic beats, he's hung up the fast energy here for a more downtempo piece making use of piano and minimal synths until the very end. It all works with Oscar's voice flowing on top, and, really, it's not too hard to believe that this could catch some radio play with its more refreshing R&B tone. These guys work great together, and it'd be awesome to see more hits coming from them ahead. Basenji's a new EP out tomorrow, so watch out for that (we'll likely have it covered), and, if you're in Australia or the States, see if he's coming to a city near you on his upcoming international tour which we've outlined below.
