Barrie is a new five-piece act from Brooklyn, New York, making a splash with their appealing debut, "Canyons", today. What's refreshing here is the fact that the effort doesn't sound like anything you'd expect from a release in 2018. That is not to say this song is outdated by any means—just that, when you've rap dominating the landscape these days, it's always great to hear artists releasing something on the other end of the spectrum that defies current trends. This is a really ace debut, so hear it now.
